From Scotland with love

Houndstooth, a duo-tone patterned garment originated in the 1800s in Scotland. It was originally made of woven wool cloth and was worn as an outer garment by shepherds. In the 1930s, houndstooth became a symbol of wealth and was adopted by upper class English men. Christian Dior started using the pattern in 1959. Houndstooth made a huge comeback this season. From Oscar de la Renta, Michael Kors to Linda’s closet.
