Chic&Basic Born, Barcelona

Holidays, one of the best things in life. You are thinking of taking some time out to take a holiday or to travel, but where do you start? The first thing you need to do is to figure out where do you want to go? The second thing, where do you want to stay? It can be hard to choose the right hotel that best suits your needs and preferences.

I prefer a hotel which isn’t too big, I’m more a boutique hotel lover. I like the exceptional style, personal service and the intimate experience. During my trip to Barcelona last week I stayed in Chic&Basic Born. This hotel chain is run by young well travelled people, who knows what most travellers miss in their holiday accommodations. They provide maximum comfort for a very affordable price and the hotels are centrally located. The hotels are based in Barcelona, Madrid and Amsterdam. If you’re planning a trip to Barcelona and want to stay in the most characteristic and trendy district of Barcelona, this hotel is a must stay. I really recommend this hotel. This hotel is more than just an accommodation, it’s a concept.

A century old building, characteristic but on the other hand trendy because of the design elements like, the color curtains and lights, the crystal shower at the center of the room, the light system to transform the room according to your mood (super cool) and the Hotel furniture. I really like the contrasting elements in the concept.

Chic and trendy but on the other hand simple and basic. Next to the design, the service (free coffee, tea and water are offered in a self-service area),the staff, atmosphere and location is amazing. The hotel is located in the heart of the Born district, in my opinion the coolest area of Barcelona. There are bars, restaurants, cool shops, and clubs everywhere. Ladies, if you stay in this hotel you can bring your highest heels, you can wear them because the nicest restaurants and clubs are just around the corner. I had a lovely stay and I would definitely come back here, I felt like home.
