I have a love/hate relationship with them. Shoes! I love to wear them, but don’t really like to buy them. It’s probably because they are too many choices. Next to that you can use a different pair of shoes for every look. It’s important to invest in shoes suitable for more than one occasion or outfit. (note to self!) This depends on the season and the trend. I already bought a lot of shoes, but I still miss those must haves. What are the key shoes for summer?
The mule: the signature shoe for the over-60’s which made a youthful makeover. Whether a floral flat, a chunky heel, or a sleek stiletto, the new mule is something you’ll want to slip into.
Sandals: Effortless comfortable and super cool. The two-strap sandal has been reimagined by designer like Givenchy’s Riccardo Tisci, Giambattista Valli and not to mention Phoebe Philo at Céline. With or without socks in combination with shorts, skirts, wide leg trousers and skinny jeans!
Slip-on Sneakers: One of the biggest trends this season. The streets in NY, Milan and Paris were filled with these super comfy shoes. In my opinion the best shoe for spring. They are super comfortable, stylish and wearable in a million different ways. Feminine in combination with a leather pants and classic blouse, but cool with boyfriend jeans and slouchy t-shirts sweaters. I’m obsessed with the love life slip-ons from Celine. After preparing this article I’m sure I have to get my feet on it.
