The desire to be in a constant state of wonder. That’s the definition by the Urban Dictionary. This article will show you my definition of Wonderlust. I experienced it myself during a getaway with Michael Kors in Greece last week. A getaway with Michael Kors, Lily Aldridge and Wouter Peelen staying at a hideaway hotel on the east coast of Greece’s Peloponnese near Porto Heli. That sounds like a dream.
From the moment I received the invitation to join the Wonderlust experience I was over-excited. Excited to meet Michael Kors, to interview Lily Aldridge, to smell the new fragrance, to taste the real Greek Yoghurt (it was my first time in Greece) my room (which turned out to be a villa) at the Amanzoe resort, my first helicopter flight and the group of talented and inspring people, those who were invited by Michael.
I arrived on Thursday afternoon in Athens. There was a helicopter waiting for me (if you follow me on snapchat: lindatol1) you might have noticed the journey. I was super excited and snapped the whole ride. It took 30 minutes. I arrived at the Amanzoe resort. I did my research, my expectations were high. But it was even better than my already high expectations! I spend the first afternoon taking photos. I couldn’t stop. The villa, the marble bathroom, the terrace, my private pool, the view. The villas are designed to emphasize indoor-outdoor living, allowing guests to connect with nature. The interiors with the natural materials and clean lines. Textured materials, like stone, concrete, and wood, bring the outside in, while earth-toned fabrics and contemporary furniture provide luxurious comfort.
The first night we had dinner at the restaurant at the resort (That is when my addiction to greek salad started). The next morning I started with a yoga class (check IG for the view). After breakfast (Organic Greek Yoghurt with Honey, obsession 2) I had to rush to get ready for the trip to Hydra Island. Hydra is one of the Saronic Islands of Greece, located in the Aegean Sea between the Saronic Gulf and the Argolic Gulf. The place of Driops farmers, fishermen and shepherds. A must visit if you are in Greece. After lunch (fresh fish and of course greek salad) we strolled around the island before we went back to Amanzoe. On our second night we had a romantic bbq at the beach. Sunset, cocktails, flowers and Wonderlust. Most beautiful and best bbq ever tasted.
The third day was all about the new fragrance. They organized the Wonderlust reveal during breakfast. After breakfast we had the opportunity to interview Lily and Michael (more about these amazing interviews will follow soon!) I spend that afternoon at the beach. That night opened with a Wonderlust cocktail hour at the pool restaurant. Followed by a celebratory Launch Dinner. We ended up dancing on ABBA’s tunes. I had the most memorable and wonderful experience. Thank you Michael!
