Have you ever fallen in love with a brand? I love to mix and match designers, high street brands, upcoming designers and vintage pieces. I love to discover new brands, but once I fall in love with a brand, I stay loyal with that brand (if the collections stay strong and fits my personal style).
A great example is Karen Millen. I first started falling in love with the brand in September of last year (you might remember that perfect leather jacket?) They are known for their perfect dresses, their elegance and timeless cuts. They focus on highlighting the beauty of graceful women. The match between the personality of the women and the clothes. Their latest campaign reflects this feeling. In my opinion a very strong campaign. Next to the campaign, the collections are getting better and better. It’s not only about their dresses, their jackets (and especially their leather jackets) and suits are fantastic.
And now they are launching a limited edition range of luxe sportswear as an Atelier Pop-Up installation within De Bijenkorf Amsterdam and Galeries Lafayette in Paris for Spring 2014.
An effortless ease of luxe sportswear shapes with a layer of precious embellishment. Trophy sweatshirts, embellished cashmere knitwear and jewel encrusted dresses are part of a range of 25 Limited Edition styles, some of which will be one of just 30 in the world. This capsule collection sums up Karen Millen’s identity: effortless, urban fashion. Every garment within the collection will be hand-numbered and individually labelled as an Atelier piece. They are the ultimate investment pieces that you can wear every day in your way.
I’m counting the days, I’m curious to see their collection and can’t wait to get my hand on this limited piece.
The GL Paris Pop – Up is launching on the 31st March and the De Bijenkorf Amsterdam Pop-Up is running from 14th April
