Betelnut Cafe, Canggu

Spontaneous plans are always the best. During my trip to Canggu last week, I planned to make a coffee and cake stop at Butter. While trying to find our way to the beach, we bumped into a girl who told us Butter was closed on Sundays. She recommend us another cool and populair hotspot in Canggu. Betelnut cafe, a treehouse restaurant located in the middle of the rice fields. The lady was right, this spot is cool. A wooden small building divided in two floors, a sturdy wooden interior,  a relaxing atmosphere, great service, cool people and organic food and drinks. From burgers to taco’s, salads and organic sugar free brownies. The menu is small but extensive and affordable priced. In the first instance we only want to order a drink. I ordered a fresh fruit juice and got the opportunity to select my own ingredients.

This this exciting juice consists of Beetroot, Apple, Passion fruit  and mango. Super healthy and delicious. But we could’t keep our eyes of the food, which was served around us so we decided to try the crispy tortilla salad.

No words need to be said. Such a pity we discovered this cool surfer’s spot the second last day of our stay. The next time I’m in Bali, I definitely will visit  Betelnut cafe again. The Bali chocolate biscuit cake is on the wishlist.
