I set a new goal in life. I’m building a staple wardrobe. Most of our wardrobes fall into one of two categories: work clothes and weekend clothes. Trust me life is so much easier if you keep the word versatility in mind. Invest in items that are timeless, simple and can be worn with almost anything, at any time of the year. There are some women that stock their closets all year-round. It doesn’t mean that you just can buy black. Head-to-toe black is the easiest, chicest, most safest way to get dressed. Because you never have to worry about matching. But some of us (including myself) love to wear color now and then. I understand if you are browsing for an investment piece like a bag, a pair of shoes or a new jacket, you might not immediately reach for salmon pink, electric blue or bright orange. None of us wants to spend a lot of money on a piece that’s difficult to wear regularly right? But it’s actually easier then you might think. You just have to be ready to be creative. My new Fay Iconic Down Jacket with Double Life Philosophy is a great example. It’s chic, cool, sporty but elegant. Easy to style with a pair of jeans or wide leg classic trousers. I brought this jacket with me to Paris. Packing for fashion week is a tough job, you need to be creative. During fashion week there’s no time to go back to the hotel to change after every show. I’m always running around from shows to shows, presentations to appointments. My fashion week garments need to be unique and versatile. Scroll down to discover. I styled the Iconic Down Jacket in 3 different ways from morning till night.
Occasion 1: Meeting a friend for coffee at one my favorite hotspot in Paris after the Chanel show. I styled the iconic down jacket with a classic turtleneck and pinstripe grey trousers.
Occasion 2: Shopping. I can’t leave Paris without visiting Rue du Faubourg-Saint-Honoré. I styled the iconic down jacket with an easy blue denim, a blue knit and a pair of striking comfortable white ankle boots.
Occasion 3: Bussines Meeting at Hotel Le Relais Saint Honoré. I styled the iconic down jacket with a silk blue blouse and a pair of wide leg high waisted dark blue trousers.
